 INSTALLATION GUIDE  


** - IMPORTANT 
     =========

    Recommended you run RLASET configuration utility first before you
    proceed with installation of LAN adapter driver described below.

 FTP PC/TCP Network Software For DOS
 
     a) Install PC/TCP onto your system according the
        PC/TCP installation guide.

     b) From the Driver Installation Menu, choose Packet Driver and
        then select "Install Packet Driver for FTP PC/TCP for DOS".

     c) Follow the instruction on each screen to complete the installation.

     d) Configure both Interface Software Driver and
        Protocol Driver.
     
        Use IPCONFIG.EXE to configure the Internet Protocol device
        driver, IPCUST.SYS. Similarly, use IFCONFIG.EXE to
        configure the Interface device driver,IFCUST.SYS. Please
        refer to the PC/TCP manual for further information.

     e) (This step is not required for PC/TCP version 2.10 and later.)
        After the file, CONFIG.SYS, which resides in the
        root directory of your startup disk, to install two
        device drivers, IPCUST.SYS and IFCUST.SYS. Insert the
        following two lines.

        DEVICE=[<DRIVE>]\[<PATH>]\IPCUST.SYS
        DEVICE=[<DRIVE>]\[<PATH>]\IFCUST.SYS

        NOTE: [<DRIVE>]\[<PATH>] refers to the full pathname
              of the directory containing the two device drivers.

     f) Reboot your system to load these configuration files.

     g) Load the hardware-dependant device driver included
        in the driver diskette for the network adapter.
          e.g.
                C:\PCTCP\RLPNPAPD   < Enter

     h) Before running PC/TCP applications, please load the
        Generic Kernel (ETHDRV.EXE), which will exchange
        information with the network adapter device driver.

     i) Now, you can start any PC/TCP applications.
